APUWJ agitation Demanding amendments In accreditation rules !
A twenty members strong delegation of the APUWJ has met the Commissioner, Information and Public relations, Govt of Andhra Pradesh , at Vijayawada today. The Delegation submitted a memorandum demanding the government to relax the accreditation rules stipulated in GO 38 so that every working journalist get the Accreditation in the state. The Union leaders held extensive talks with the Commissioner for one and half hours on the problems faced by the working journalists related to the accreditation rules.
Union insisted on amending the accreditation rules.
The Commissioner Mr T.Vijay Kumar Reddy assured the Delegation to take the issues raised by the union to the notice of the Government. Three of the Joint directors of the department were also present during the talks. Responding to the call given by the APUWJ state committee the union leaders at different places across the state have submitted memorandums to the district authorities ,staged dharnas , organised rallies , demanding the relaxation of the accreditation rules.
